The Rockies Through My Eyes

We just got back from a family vacation to the Rockies.  It was really fun as usual.  Somehow, I never get tired of this place.  I have come here since I was a child and I still have that same sense of wonder.  I love it here and there is still many more areas that I haven’t seen yet.  Below is a photograph of the road to Galatea, one of my favourite hikes of all time.

Johnson Canyon is beautiful anytime of year.

I made my way through 4 ft of snow to get the above shot.  My husband was amused as he watched me push my way through.  He said “only me”  and I also had no socks on (long story) and the snow came through my hiking boots..icy cold feet :)

A Great Trip

I enjoyed snowshoeing through the Rockies.  It was awesome.

  1. Wow! Consuelo, you have some fabulous shots up there! I love all of them!

  2. The images have an HDR feel to them…very dramatic! No socks??! Are you crazy??! :-) I know what it feels like to be in the moment and WANT THAT SHOT! I once jumped down from a seawall to get a shot and then proceeded to have the (freezing) ocean soak me!

The b/w-looking shot near the bottom is my fave.

  3. Wow, beautiful shots and it sounds like you had alot of fun. I love the road shot. Road shots always makes me think of an adventure, which it sounds like you had!

  4. I agree, very nice shots and looks like you had a great time. I really love the emerald water in that center image.
